Pack 2 was founded in December 1992 and is chartered by St. Joseph Parish in Downingtown, PA. We meet during the school year in the St. Joseph School cafeteria and serve boys in Kindergarten through 5th grade from the surrounding area (Coatesville, Downingtown, and West Chester School Districts).
We participate in numerous activities throughout the year including pack camping trips, Pinewood Derby races, Rain Gutter Regatta, and several other fun-filled events. More importantly, Cub Scout Pack 2 contributes to our local community through service projects—the cornerstone being the annual Scouting for Food drive.
It’s about the kids!
It’s about the kids!
The focus of our Pack is our Scouts. Our message is simple. In the words of Scouting founder Sir Robert Baden-Powell:
“The real way to get happiness is by giving out happiness to other people. Try and leave this world a little better than you found it.”
We do this by focusing on the values of God, Country, Others, and Self, and by living the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
We strive to show Scouts and their families things they might not typically see, teach skills they might not otherwise learn, and do things together that families may not find time to do.
